Anuradhapura

Anuradhapura, one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, is a treasure trove of history, culture, and spirituality. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Anuradhapura boasts impressive archaeological sites, sacred Buddhist stupas, and ruins dating back to over 2,000 years. The city was once the center of Sri Lanka’s political and religious life and is home to the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi, a tree believed to be a sapling from the original tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment.
