Polonnaruwa
Polonnaruwa, the second capital of ancient Sri Lanka, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning archaeological sites, including towering stupas, ancient temples, and royal palaces. This city, which flourished from the 11th to 13th centuries, was once the seat of the Chola dynasty and later the Sinhala kings.
